rio, you animal.

i can't explain rio. to be there during world cup, it felt like the city was a law unto itself. people everywhere. blaring horns being blasted all over the place from excited fans, football chants arife- in the metro station, on the train, on the streets, out late at night, when you were at the beach- this was something else entirely.

to be honest, we spent most of our time in rio at copacabana beach- and every time we went, someone would bust out the song... "on the copa.. copa-ca-bana.." and for the rest of the day it'd be flung around the 6 of us at random. as the fifa fan tent was on the beach there, above is what the tube often looked like crowd wise when we'd get there. I've never seen so much green and gold in.my.life.

this chica was in such a hurry to get to the football, she wasn't stopping to do her makeup- i think it requires a lot of skill to apply mascara like she was whilst walking in a crowd of thousands.
