santiago- 2 weeks

2 weeks in santiago saw me skiing the andes (for a day! when does that ever happen?!) do a week of intense attempts to learn spanish at a local school, eat amazing french food (including profiteroles with ice-cream inside them, mmmmmmmmmmmmm) shop with liz at her locals, make 2 pots of minestrone soup, drink too many cortados (coffee with milk, a bit like a latte) and progressively become whiter due to the large amount of clothes worn to avoid the cold (and the sun). awesome times hanging with liz and matt- stoked! i took a few of these pics during my walks every morning to the language course i took. it only took about 10 minutes to walk to my school, but i'd see something different every morning- with the exception of people snogging- that was something that i saw on the daily..

dogs wait at traffic lights here- i loved this!

just in case you've got an important meeting at work that day, get your shoes polished by these blokes on your way there for that extra confidence boost- and read the paper while you're at it

unfortunate that i couldn't get these two in focus- i loved the way they linked arms though and walked with such confidence.

this cute thing reminded me of indi. when you see the dogs here, a lot of them have coats on like this one. some have booties, and one taxi driver told us he even puts underwear on his dog- he loved talking about his dog. because of world cup at the moment, it also wasn't uncommon to see dogs with CHILE! coats, made especially for the futbal.
